20 interviews with 20 20-somethings.

It's so difficult, isn't it? To see what's going on when you're in the absolute middle of something? It's only with hindsight we can see things for what they are.

— S.J. Watson, Before I Go To Sleep

This project is an exploration of the lives of twenty young people I know. These interviews contain the perspectives of some outstanding individuals through the lens of multiple topics: youth, financial health, passion, love, culture, ambitions, and much more. At the heart of it is a conversation about their present states, serving as a capture in time of how they felt at this point in their lives.

What can we learn from people who we already know? To what extent do they belong to the communal identity of our age cohort? How can we create a personal connection and learn about what might not come across in casual conversation? These are some of the questions that drove me to begin this project.

I am a "twenty-something" myself in a big city, trying to place myself in a context that is unceasingly changing. Only in hindsight will the decisions and connections I made in this decade be truly clear to me, 20/20.
