UPAAN Annual Report

Responsive website based on Kirby CMS for Duke Science Review

Client

Duke Science Review

The Challenge

Refresh the existing Wordpress-based site to simplify and clean-up fields, as well as reduce confusion for their editors.

Involvement

Freelance designer and member of the UPAAN board

The Outcome

I used Kirby CMS to create a very simple template for them (and an even easier back-end for content management). I continued using the logo and branding from my previous website with them, and kept consistent with the Duke blue branding.

Building the site

The final result is a single-page site with 4 sections, with the main focus on a longer report of the survey results.

Design Process

To start wireframing the design for this one-pager site, I first audited the content and sketched out the content order for the layout.

Collecting & Organizing Data

The report also included a data visualization section depicting the responses to a Google survey we launched with ~100 respondents.
